Mobile Weekend in Waterloo Cancelled
Wednesday, August 6th, 2008Sad news this morning. It appears the Mobile Weekend in Waterloo has been canceled.
It was somewhat stressful to organize the weekend here in Ottawa because I only had few tickets sold 2 weeks before the event. Then it suddenly spread and I had to put people on a waiting list.
I planned the bare minimum so it would run smoothly but nothing over the top.
The first event in a city is probably the hardest one to organize because people don’t know about it. It was hard to get sponsors because they also don’t know what they are really getting into.
